Richard and Diana Alvarez have been married 29 years and have four amazing children. Richard worked for 30 years in education and has a Master’s in Administration. Right out of college he started out as a teacher, was a principal for many years, and is now retired as a former Assistant Superintendent of public education. Diana has worked in education for nearly 20 years. After 16 years of schooling and starting out as a teacher’s aide, she now contains a Master’s in Special Education and dual credentials in General and Special Education. She has been a Special Education teacher for eight years. They have also had the privilege of watching their four children grow and achieve their Masters as well.
Both are very active in their local church, where Rick is the Pastor. Both have also been Sunday School teachers for many years, leaders within the men’s and ladies’ groups, and are currently writing professional development curriculum and facilitating professional trainings for their church Assembly’s, Department of Christian Education.
While Diana teaches, Richard also works on their 10-acre ranch as a farmer. They love living on a ranch. In their leisure, Richard loves to fish and hunt, and Diana loves to write short stories, sing and write songs, create poems, and paint. They plan to soon publish additional children’s stories and professional development in Christian education.
